Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her superior striking abilities in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in the unanimous verdict. But, she fell in her second bout due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
